Free Flu Shot
Clinic
CSI Practical Nursing students will
join Dr. Cole Johnson and the Mustard Tree Wellness
Clinic to provide 500 doses of regular flu vaccine to
the general public on Friday, Oct. 16 and Saturday, Oct.
18. Dr. Johnson has purchased this vaccine to be
administered on a first come, first served basis to
anyone who would like to get a flu shot, free of charge.
Please note that this is the 'regular' flu vaccine and
not the special H1N1 'swine flu' vaccine.
The clinic hours for the flu shots
will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16 and 9 a.m.
until the vaccine is gone on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The clinic is located at 676 Shoup Ave. W. Suite #2. The

The
Great Pumpkin Race
The College of Southern Idaho Physical Education Program
will sponsor its fourth annual Great Pumpkin Race 5K
Run/Walk, One Mile Youth Challenge, and new this year, a
kids’ carnival and trick-or-treating. All events will
take place the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 30.
The Competitive Youth Challenge portion of the event
will be open to young people from 8 to 12 years of age.
This will be a timed, one-mile race around the college
campus with awards for the top finishers in each age
group. Registration for this event will start at 5 p.m.
and the race will begin at 6:15 p.m. The entry fee is
$15.
For the kids, a Halloween carnival will be held in the
CSI
Student Recreation Center from 4 to 7 p.m. Kids are
encouraged to come in costume and enjoy trick or
treating and games. This event is free of charge. All
proceeds will benefit the CSI Physical Education Program
and the
CSI
Student Recreation Center.
